Ginger syrup is something I really love to use in cooking asian food and I even add it to my homemade granola. The sweet slightly sharp taste is something I adore. what about you? Also fond of ginger?
But… are you, like me, also tired of buying good stuff and realise it is full of refined sugar? Ginger syrup is such a product. But it is too nice not to use… So, it’s about time for a healthier version that is guaranteed free of refined sugars!

Tired of buying good stuff and realise it is full of refined sugar? Ginger syrup is such a product. I love to use it when cooking asian food and even add it to my homemade granola. So, time for a healthier version that is guaranteed free of refined sugars!
Instructions

Finely grate the ginger and put it in a pan

Add water and honey and bring to a boil, let it simmer for 30 minutes. You will see it start to really foam when the syrup is ready.

Poor it through a sieve, really press all the liquid out

Let it cool down before adding to to a glass bottle
