foodphotography & styling tips
What should a food photographer be looking after?
Oat milk
Home made oat milk, yes that’s correct. I love making things myself that I normally buy on a daily basis. This saves a lot of waste and honestly, home made food / drinks always taste better.
vegetable rosti
Left over veggies… and thinking what to do with them? The answer is vegetable rosti. A very quick and extremely easy dish, with lots of flavour and good looks!
Rhubarb crumble
Rhubarb, I still cannot get enough of it… and it is only the beginning of the season! After making the rhubarb-apple sauce, I had no reason not to make a nice rhubarb crumble for dessert (breakfast will also do by the way)
kimchi
Kimchi, the Korean superfood! It is a traditional side dish made from salted and fermented cabbage and other vegetables and fruit, and seasoned with gochugaru, aka Korean chili powder.
golden royal turmeric smoothie
Turmeric, the spice that gives your food such a lovely bright yellow color, it almost looks like gold. And have we not heard of golden milk, also known as turmeric latte? I am sure you have.
french lentil stew
Lentils, I am a big fan. Not only because they are super healthy, but especially because you make so many great dishes with them. Soup, stew, curry, salad, burgers, and so on. For this stew I have used the famous French Du Puy lentils.
rhubarb-apple sauce
Oh yes, rhubarb! When I walked passed the vegetable shop and saw it, I could not withstand… it was too tempting… even though it is not really in season yet… So this rhubarb comes from the greenhouse. Which makes it really tender.
homemade ghee
Ghee, also known as clarified butter, what a lovely product. I knew it from my holiday in India, but never used it back home, let alone made it myself. But now I know better. This product will be in my pantry always!
