Home made jam, yes, healthy, delicious and and an excellent way to use ‘over’ ripe fruits (or just and excuse to make something utterly delicious and treat yourself!). It is totally free of refined sugars, and sweetened with only a little bit of honey.
To go together with my chia pudding I wanted to make something fresh but also with some warmth. So raspberries, rosemary and cinnamon popped into my mind. This turned out as quite a good experiment!
Chia seeds are used to bind, to get the jam jelly structure. A super food that is very high in nutritional value. Win-win if you ask me!
Which jams do you make yourself?
Raspberry jam with rosemary and cinnamon
A jam which is fresh and has a lot of warmth at the same time, yes it is this raspberry jam with rosemary and cinnamon!
Ingredients
- 250 gr raspberries
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 2 tbsp honey raw
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 0,5 tsp cinnamon ceylon
Instructions
-
Chop the rosemary. Bring the raspberries, honey and rosemary to a boil and let it cook for 5 minutes
-
Add the chia seeds and cinnamon and stir well. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes or until it has reached the desired thickness
-
Add to a glass jar and let it cool down. You can put it upside down in the fridge to vacuum it. This way it will hold a bit longer
