Chocolate heaven, does it exist? If there were any, I am 100% sure that this super smooth, silky and creamy chocolate smoothie will bring you there directly. It almost tastes like liquid chocolate pie, but this time a healthy version with veggies! Yeah, I promise you, it is possible!
I found this recipe in The Green Kitchen Smoothies cookbook. Excellent book full of delicious smoothie, juices and breakfast recipes. As I always do, I tweaked the recipe here and there, but it is still much like the original one from David and Luise.
It is an excellent combination of raw cacao powder, frozen blackberries, avocado, medjool dates and yes… beetroot! I have added a little bit of vanille extract simply because I love vanilla. I was really positively surprised about the result. It was almost to good to be true. This smoothie will be part of my all time favourite recipe list from now on, when beetroot is in season!

healthy chocolate smoothie
healthy smoothie with raw cacao powder, beetroot, avocado, blackberries, vanilla and almond milk
Ingredients
- 100 gr beetroot
- 75 gr avocado approx 1/2
- 75 gr blackberries frozen
- 100 gr medjool dates
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 0,5 tsp vanilla extract
- 350 ml almond milk unsweetened
Instructions

Put all the ingredients in your high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy

garnish with a little bit of extra cacao powder
